Design Manager

1.0 Job Overview

As a Design Manager you will oversee & help run a variety of projects across a variety of sectors. You will be expected to assist in the delivery of projects from inception through to completion, undertaking our full set of design services for our clients.

2.0 Detailed Job Specification

+ The main part of your role will involve coordinating the various activities required to turn design concept into design development & through to completion.

+ You will be required to manage design development & act as the point of contact between the design team & the Consultants.

+ A key aspect of your role is also to guarantee efficiency & effectiveness of our processes & being responsible for verifying the correctness & consistency of the design package delivery.

+ You will be required to understand the client's requirements & goals for the project.

+ Establishing the timeline for the design development of project & ensuring effective adherence as per project program.

+ Prepare & maintain regular scheduling of all ongoing projects.

+ Prepare & maintain design comments tracker for each project, capturing all activities on the project.

+ Lead the design team in ensuring the design development package is delivered to the highest standard & requirements of the project.

3.0 Additional Requirements

As a Design Manager, you will also be required to do the following as part of your role:

+ Build & maintain relationships with all clients & members of the project team on your projects.

+ Assist & help train more junior members within the team & act as a mentor where required.

+ As part of the Design Coordination team, you will work with your team members to continually improve our services & processes & as such you will throughout the year help with updating & improving these wherever possible.

4.0 Qualifications

+ Bachelor of Architecture/ or equivalent, with minimum 8 years of working experience including on international projects.
