AtkinsRalis India, part of one of the world's leading consultancies in the built and natural environment, is seeking a Middle East Highways - Senior Design Manager. This role offers the opportunity to deliver multidisciplinary offshore projects from India, working with international teams and clients, and developing global experience with a renowned consultant.

Your Role

  • Lead large design teams as Project Manager/Team Leader.
  • Provide technical solutions and oversee design delivery.
  • Manage budgets, resourcing, and ensure delivery within agreed timeframes.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for quality assurance and compliance with Atkins QSE standards.
  • Interpret briefs, produce design solutions, and communicate effectively across disciplines.
  • Undertake multidisciplinary project management, including lead consultant duties.
  • Mentor and develop subordinates, managing workloads within a matrix structure.

About You

  • Civil Engineering degree from a reputed institution.
  • Chartered or nearchartered status with an international professional body.
  • 12-15 years consultancy experience in the Middle East on large transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record in expressways and complex interchanges.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoad, AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of regional and international highway design codes (KSA, UAE, AASHTO, DMRB).
  • Experience in offshore delivery models, client coordination, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication skills and evidence of successful project delivery.

Desirable

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience as technical lead or project manager on international projects.
  • Multidisciplinary project delivery exposure.
  • Team mentoring and training experience.
