About the Role

We are looking for a Design Intern to support our rug design and development process. This role will focus on translating design inspirations into original rug concepts and creating accurate CADs for production and printing.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design briefs and inspiration references to create rug design concepts
• Develop original patterns, motifs, and layouts aligned with brand aesthetics
• Create detailed CAD designs for rugs, including colorways and repeat patterns
• Prepare production-ready artwork files for printing and manufacturing
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine designs based on feedback
• Maintain consistency in design quality, color accuracy, and specifications
• Support in trend research and design ideation for new collections

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of textile/rug design principles
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar CAD software
• Ability to translate inspirations into commercially viable designs
• Strong sense of color, pattern, and composition
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Background in Textile Design / Fashion Design / Interior Design
• Exposure to rug, carpet, or surface design is a plus
• Familiarity with print file preparation and production processes
