Job Overview

The Design Head Cleanroom will be responsible for leading and managing the complete design activities of cleanroom projects, ensuring compliance with international cleanroom standards, client specifications, and project timelines. The role requires strong technical expertise in cleanroom HVAC, layouts, and regulatory compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesCleanroom Design & Engineering

• Lead design of cleanroom systems, including:
• Cleanroom layouts & zoning
• HVAC system design
• AHU selection
• Airflow, air change rates, pressure cascade
• Heat load calculations
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14644, GMP, WHO, USFDA, EU-GMP standards.
• Review and approve:
• Concept & detailed design drawings
• GA, HVAC, and coordination drawings
• Shop drawings and as-built drawings

Team Leadership

• Manage and guide the cleanroom design team
• Review designs for accuracy, quality, and compliance
• Train engineers on cleanroom standards and best practices

Project & Client Coordination

• Coordinate with:
• Sales team for technical inputs during tender stage
• Project & execution teams during implementation
• Clients, consultants, and auditors
• Support BOQ finalization, technical submittals, and value engineering
• Handle design changes during execution

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and review:
• Design calculations
• Technical submittals
• Validation support documents (IQ, OQ, PQ if required)
• Support regulatory audits and client inspections

Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation

• BE / BTech in Mechanical / HVAC / Electrical Engineering
• Master's degree preferred

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of cleanroom HVAC design
• Expertise in cleanroom classifications and airflow concepts
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Revit / BIM (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 8+ years in cleanroom design
• Prior experience in pharma / hospital / electronic cleanrooms
• At least 3 years in a leadership role
