Job Title: Design Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to create, develop, and optimize product designs. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical, functional, and cost requirements while maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop innovative design concepts based on project requirements
Create 2D/3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA)
Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications
Perform design calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies
Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams
Review and improve existing product designs for efficiency and cost reduction
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Support prototype development and testing
Troubleshoot design-related issues during production
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering / Design Engineering / related field
25 years of experience in design engineering (can vary based on role level)
Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.)
Strong understanding of engineering principles and materials
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, fabrication, injection molding, etc.)
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills
Experience with simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, etc.)
Knowledge of GDT (Geometric Dimensioning Tolerancing)
Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems
Project management skills
Industry-specific experience (automotive, aerospace, consumer products, etc.)
