Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and innovative Design Engineer with strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for creating and modifying 2D and 3D designs for new and existing products, ensuring they meet functionality, manufacturability, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for precision engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop 2D and 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Participate in the design and development of products, components, or systems from concept to production.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.
- Conduct design feasibility studies, tolerance analysis, and simulations as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation, including BOMs and technical specifications.
- Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation.
- Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product performance, reduce cost, or simplify manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing methods.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and 3D models.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 13 years of experience in a design engineering role.
- Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation).
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
Working Conditions
- Office-based with regular interaction in design labs or manufacturing environments.
- Occasional travel to production facilities or supplier locations may be required.
