Description:
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that meet project specifications and customer needs.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automotive components using UG NX.
- Work on sheet metal and plastic component design, including concept development and detailing.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs as per project requirements.
- Ensure designs meet DFM ( Design for Manufacturing) and DFA( Design for Assembly) guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross- functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
- Perform tolerance stack- up analysis and ensure compliance with GD&T standards.
- Participate in Design reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Support prototype development and validation activities.
- Maintain proper documentation as per company and industry standards.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Masters/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in UG NX ( modeling, drafting, assemblies)
- Experience in sheet metal design (bending, stamping, forming processes)
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Understanding of automotive standards and product lifecycle.
- Good problem- solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and team work abilities.
Note: This is a 3 month contractual role (third- party payroll). If you perform well the contract will increase to 1-2 years.
