Design Engineer-Mechanical Equipment
Job Description
- Design Engineer-Mechanical Equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- - Experience / exposure to basic and detailed engineering of Mechanical works
- - Preparation of Hydraulic Calculation, Pump Head Calculation, and Pipe Size Calculation.
- - Knowledge on equipment selection for Pumps, Blowers, Mixers, Process equipment, SBR, digestors, gas holders, decanters, dosing system, Hydrolysis process, UV, Chlorination system, Heat Exchangers, HVAC system, Firefighting etc.
- - Review of Mechanical Gas
- - Knowledge of Piping/Equipment support design, Design of platforms and pipe racks.
- - Preparation of Equipment / System layouts, technical evaluation of Vendor offers etc.
- - Knowledge of selection of material (MOC) of various components of equipment, pump head- system head curves calculations, preparation of BOQ's with specification.
- - Checking vendor's equipment drawing & Technical specification as per tender requirement /client requirement.
- - Meeting with Client and other stakeholders to get approval of the design, drawings and all other technical documents required to complete the project smoothly
- - Knowledge of design of piping system.
- - 3D modelling with clash detection.
- - Able to adopt cost effective / cost saving design.
- - Capable of handling a small team.
Qualifications
- - BE / B. Tech. or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience of 4– 7 years
- - Experience on using piping software like Cadmatic, Auto CAD, Revit, Navisworks.
- - Proficient in using various Indian design codes and standards.
- - Experience of working in EPC / consultancy organization.
- - Design experience in water/wastewater treatment sector will be preferred
