We are seeking a proficient and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in CAD tools such as Siemens NX and PLM Teamcenter. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate excellent CAD modeling and drafting skills. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality product designs. The candidate should be capable of deep diving into Product Lifecycle Management processes to support design, development, and release activities, ensuring design integrity and efficiency throughout the product development cycle
Our Team
This team provides global engineering support for the BiPass product line, liquid cooling solutions, and drop-down heatsinks. The position will be part of this engineering team within Molex India Business Services.
What You Will Do
- Utilize Siemens NX software to develop 3D models and assemblies of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with Supervisor and team members to interpret technical specifications and voice of customers, and convert them into detailed designs, 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and release packages, within Teamcenter.
- Manage and organize Design and CAD files, ensuring proper version control and data integrity within Teamcenter. Conduct design reviews and participate in cross-functional meetings to provide technical insights and recommendations for design improvements.
- Perform tolerance analysis and verification of parts and assemblies to ensure fit, form, and function.
- Conduct design feasibility studies, identifying potential issues or constraints and proposing solutions to optimize designs.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing and production teams to address design-related issues, resolve manufacturing discrepancies, and support the development of efficient manufacturing processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to CAD modeling, NX software, and Teamcenter usage, and apply them to enhance design efficiency and quality.
- Perform other related duties as part of the role requirements.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical
- 3 to 5 years Design experience in Product design, Product Testing Systems , Manufacturing process knowledge
- Good knowledge and understanding of electromechanical products, components and assemblies
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as molding, sheet metal tooling, fabrication of components and assembly processes
- Proficient in using solid modeling software (Siemens NX) to generate 3D models & 2D drafting
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and in a team
- Knowledge on product design like PDP process, product testing
- Good Exposure to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to evaluate risk in design, come up with mitigation plans and assess solution alternatives
- Ability to work independently, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

- Experience in the connector or electromechanical products industry.
- Skilled in developing product designs aligned with customer requirements.
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in product design
