Design Engineer HVAC

Educational Qualification:

• B.E./Diploma Mechanical

• Experience:
• 2 - 8 Years of experience in HVAC Design and Drafting.
• Experience in Hotels/ Hospitals/ Office buildings/ IT fit-outs/ Apartments/ Industries/ Residential/ Commercial buildings.

Knowledge:

• Good exposure in Commercial Air conditioning systems, Operation theatres and Clinical specialties, Kitchen ventilation, Basement car park ventilation, Cleanroom air conditioning, Data centres cooling, Earth Air tunnel, Radiant Cooling, Geothermal Heating/Cooling, Refrigeration, and Central heating.
• Knowledge about system designs as per NBC, ASHRAE, and ISHRAE.
• Knowledge of space planning including sizing, locating AHU rooms, and chiller plant room.

Software Knowledge:

• Mandatory: CAD*, Proficiency in MS Office.
• BIM Added Advantage

Functional Skills Requirement:

• Designnew or replacement heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems specific to client needs and building specifications.
• Preparation of Heat load calculation based on architectural drawings USING HAP/Excel-based tool.
• Preparation ofchiller plant room design, plan, and section drawings.
• Sizing locating indoor and outdoor equipment (DX/ VRF).
• Design centralized toilet exhaust system along with scheme/ isometric drawing.
• Design the ventilation system for the basement car park/ services areas/ kitchens.
• Duct sizing design.
• Ducting layout to suit Architectural/ Interior layout and site condition.
• Preparation of chilled water piping design (sizing, layout and scheme along with associated components).
• Refrigerant piping design for DX and VRF systems (sizing, layout and scheme)
• Analysis and selection of HVAC and other mechanical equipment
• Coordinating with Client, Architectural team, and site.
• Preparation of quantity take-off sheets, bill of quantities, budgetary estimates and supporting documents.
• Listing make of approved materials.
• Review and approve vendor of technical submittals.
• Approval of vendor shop drawings.
• Managing team responsibilities and deliverables.
• Monitoring the progress of site at work and reporting the same to management and client as required
• Coordination with other services details and preparing combined services drawings.
