At JEH Aerospace, we engineer precision at every step. We're looking for a skilled Fixture Design Engineer to join our manufacturing team and help design the tooling that keeps our production operating at the highest standard of accuracy and safety.
What you'll do :
- Design, develop, and validate fixtures and tooling that support precision manufacturing operations across CNC turning, milling, 3-axis, 5-axis, and turn-mill processes.
- Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD tools such as Unigraphics (NX), SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
- Collaborate closely with production, process, and quality teams to translate manufacturing requirements into robust fixture solutions.
- Apply ZPS and 3-2-1 locating principles to ensure accurate, repeatable, and production-ready fixture designs.
- Conduct functional tests and simulations to verify fixture efficiency, performance, and compliance with safety standards.
- Iterate on designs based on shop-floor feedback and production data, maintaining continuous improvement standards.
- Provide hands-on technical support during fixture installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance phases.
- Work with cutting tool selection and demonstrate a foundational understanding of NC programming principles.
What we're looking for :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline with 5 - 8 Years of Experience.
- Hands-on experience in fixture design and manufacturing tooling development.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes — including turning, milling, 3-axis, 5-axis, and turn-mill operations — and material behavior.
- Proficiency in CAD software — Unigraphics (NX), SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
- Solid grasp of GD&T, ZPS, and 3-2-1 locating principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Effective communicator who works well across engineering, production, and quality teams.
