Job Description: This position is responsible for Classifying and maintaining electrical standard parts for all Epiroc mining products with following responsibilities,
- Create and maintain the electrical standard parts in common part library and support the engineers at division
- Selection of components which is in line with International Standards and Epiroc and supplier standards for various applications
- Create, classify and maintain component libraries in Teamcenter as well as in Creo which enable to reuse of components by designers in different divisions/sites
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of electrical parts for existing products.
- Create, edit, and interpret engineering design drawings and specifications
- Solve day to day technical problems and questions raised by division engineers on standardization and standard parts
- Analyzing and consolidating parts/components based on the standardization activities as per policies and procedures
- Should understand various vehicle electrical components and their functionality (Alternator, starter, battery, fuse box, wire connector, terminal, relay, fuses, etc.)
- Awareness of cost reduction, optimization & feasibility verification
- Conduct periodic training to stake holders on standards and procedures and also on Teamcenter classification
- Co-ordinate with engineers on the specification of electrical parts and work independently.
- Work on PDM/PLM systems associated with Engineering release processes & systems
- Reporting to the Manager in a timely and efficient manner
- Always look for opportunities and implement efficiency improvement, growth of competence and innovation
- Ensure that customers are satisfied by delivering high quality solutions and timely support
- Complying to company policies and following company values and business code of practice
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3-6 Years Of Experience In Electrical Engineering
Tools:
- Teamcenter - PLM
- Cre O / AutoCAD Electrical
Education:
bachelor's in electrical engineering from a reputed institute
Knowledge Requirement:
- Understand and interpret international standards (ISO, IEC..)
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical power and control systems
- Experience of diesel engine control and Battery Electric Vehicle controls
- To be able to select electrical parts, knowledge and experience of Teamcenter.
- Experience and knowledge in industrial machinery is preferably in mining.
- Good command of English is required or strong ambition to learn.
- Process driven and willing to work on continuous improvement of the processes
