Design Engineer

Role:
Pre-bid activity Provide data entry and analysis on plans, maps and specifications for estimating on pipeline rehabilitation projects.
Pre-construction activity Build initial project schedule using the data from the estimate based on the optimal work breakdown structure.
Construction activity Remotely review CCTV footage from initial pipeline videos, review for quality and other variables, log the results into the appropriate software and generate reports required for each specific project.
Material Ordering Using measurements from initial pipeline videos and project estimate, submit material orders for liners into appropriate systems with required delivery dates.

Technical Requirements:
Communication - clear and precise email, Microsoft Teams chat, and construction software tools (InEight Document)
Primavera (P6) scheduling
Pipeline video assessment software geared towards pipeline video standards such as PACP (https://www.nassco.org/education-and-training/pacp-lacp-macp/)
Microsoft Excel Intermediate to advanced
Microsoft Word Basic memos, requests for information (RFI), and reports
PDF Convert from Microsoft Excel and Word
Engineering Spreadsheet-based engineering designs for sewer pipeline
Construction plans and maps takeoffs using appropriate geographic information systems

AutoCAD Tool experience is added advantage.

Qualifications:
1+ years of Primavera (P6) scheduling experience, or intermediate level P6 certifications
Degree in Engineering/Construction Management, or PMP certification will be added advantage
