Role Overview: -
We are seeking a highly experienced AV & ICT Designer to join our India operations. The role involves leading the design and delivery of Audio-Visual and ICT systems on prestigious and technically complex projects. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, and specialist consultants to deliver fully integrated, high-quality, and constructible AV & ICT solutions in line with international best practices.
Discipline-Specific Responsibilities – AV & ICT Systems: -
Design Audio-Visual systems including:
Meeting and conference rooms
Video conferencing systems
Auditoriums and lecture theatres
Experience centres and digital signage
Control rooms and command centres
Sound reinforcement system for acoustical challenging facilities such as Sports Arena, house of worship
Design and engineer ICT and technology systems, including but not limited to:
Structured Cabling Systems (SCN)
Computer Networks (LAN/WAN), Unified Communications, IP Telephony, and Wireless LANs
TETRA, DAS, and 4G/5G systems
Develop system architectures, layouts, SLDs, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
Ensure compliance with ISO, IEC, BS, EN, NFPA, TIA, and cybersecurity best practices.
Coordinate AV designs with ICT/IT infrastructure and IP-based networks.
Core Design & Delivery Responsibilities (Common): -
Deliver concept, schematic, detailed design, and IFC-level documentation in accordance with international consultancy standards, project briefs, and client requirements.
Prepare high-quality drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, BOQs, schedules, and tender documentation across all design stages.
Coordinate closely with Architecture, Electrical, MEP, ICT/ELV, IT, Acoustics, Structural, Sustainability, and other specialist disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.
Participate in client meetings, design reviews, technical workshops, and presentations, providing clear technical recommendations.
Review and evaluate vendor/contractor technical submissions, shop drawings, and material submittals.
Support tendering, value engineering, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover, including RFI responses and site inspections.
Ensure compliance with international standards, statutory regulations, and client-specific guidelines.
Maintain high standards of design quality, documentation control, and coordination.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of design principles, construction techniques, and building systems.
Exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Digital & Computational Design (Value-Add): -
Collaborate with project teams to develop parametric models and computational workflows using tools such as Grasshopper/Rhino, Dynamo/Revit, Python, or similar scripting environments.
Automate repetitive tasks, streamline design workflows, and support design optimization and iteration within BIM and digital delivery environments.
Qualifications: -
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
3-12 years of proven experience in AV & ICT system design within reputed international design consultancies.
Strong knowledge of AV systems (including product & vendor).
Good understanding of networking fundamentals and system integration.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM experience preferred.
Working knowledge of EASE and related design tools.
Knowledge of CSI Master Format and structured specification writing.
AV Specialty certifications:
AVIXA CTS (mandatory for AV-focused roles)
AVIXA CTS-D (advantage)
Vendor specific certifications (advantage).
BICSI certifications
Excellent communication, coordination, and technical problem-solving skills.
