Design Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Design Engineer to join our engineering and product development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, improving, and developing 2D/3D models, engineering drawings, and technical solutions using advanced CAD tools. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support design, analysis, and product development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings as per standards.

Perform structural and mechanical Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate and improve designs.

Create and modify product designs using SolidWorks (primary) and AutoCAD.

Work on prototyping, DFM/DFT, product testing, and documentation.

Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.

Review designs for compliance with specifications, safety, and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Excellent communication skills - Verbal and Written

Min 4+ years of professional experience in mechanical design engineering.

Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Weldments, Simulation).

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other design/analysis tools.

Hands-on experience in FEA, GD&T, and engineering standards.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

Experience in manufacturing or product-based industries.

Knowledge of PDM/PLM tools.
