Presales Engineer / Design Consultant (CTS-Certified)

Roles & Responsibilities:

1.Solution Design & Proposal Development

a. Interpret and analyse RFP documents including drawings (Tender / IFC / DD),

project specifications, schematics, and client requirements to develop AV system

designs.

b. Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, BOQs, system architecture diagrams,

and solution summaries.

c. Develop system designs in alignment with industry standards such as AVIXA,

applicable local authority guidelines, and best practices for acoustics, AV

networking, and room integration.

d. Ensure designs address functionality, scalability, interoperability, and

user experience.

2.Tender & RFP Support

a. Review tender documentation, project scope, and technical requirements to

prepare compliant AV solutions.

b. Engage with OEMs, distributors, and suppliers for pricing support,

technical clarifications, and updated product information.

c. Prepare technical submittals, compliance matrices, solution narratives, and

project prequalification documents.

d. Support value engineering and provide alternatives where required

without compromising quality or performance.

a. Assist the sales team in developing customer-focused AV solutions tailored to

project requirements.

b. Attend client meetings, workshops, and site surveys to understand use cases,

propose optimized designs, and build technical confidence with stakeholders.

c. Coordinate with OEMs and manufacturers for product demos, proof-of-concepts,

and system walkthroughs.

d. Present the AV solution to clients, highlighting technical advantages, system

usability, and integration benefits.

e. Provide cost-effective and competitive solutions while maintaining adherence

to standards and client expectations.

4.Execution Team Coordination

a. Work closely with AutoCAD Draftsmen and Project Engineers to ensure accurate

shop drawings, signal flow diagrams, cable schedules, and AV layouts.

b. Provide engineering documentation, equipment specifications, and system

design guidelines to the execution team post-award.

c. Support project teams in interpreting design intent and resolving technical

queries during installation and commissioning.

d. Assist in system testing strategy, integration planning, and final client

acceptance where required.

5.Skills & Tools

a. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, AVIXA/CTS design methodologies, and AV

design tools such as EASE, EASE Focus, D-Tools, and vendor-specific

design/configuration tools (e.g., Q-SYS, Biamp, Extron, Crestron).

b. Strong understanding of audiovisual standards, AV-over-IP technologies, acoustics,

signal routing, control programming basics, and network fundamentals.

c. Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging AV technologies, and global

best practices.

d. Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.

e. Ability to multitask, handle high-pressure timelines, and deliver accurate technical

outputs consistently.
