Role Overview
The Design Automation Specialist bridges the gap between design and development through intelligent automation. This role focuses on converting Figma designs into production-ready React components, managing internal tooling for component publishing, and building AI-powered workflows that streamline and scale frontend development.
You will work closely with design, frontend, and platform teams to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and accelerate product delivery through automation-first thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert Figma designs into reusable, production-ready React components
- Maintain and enhance the internal CLI tool for component generation and publishing
- Build and optimize design-to-code automation pipelines
- Implement AI-powered workflows to improve component accuracy, speed, and consistency
- Ensure component quality, responsiveness, and adherence to design systems
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to improve handoff and automation standards
- Document automation processes, tooling, and best practices
- Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual frontend work using automation and AI
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience working with Figma designs and design syste
- Experience building or maintaining CLI tools, scripts, or developer tooling
- Understanding of component-based architecture and reusable UI systems
- Familiarity with automation workflows and AI-assisted development tools
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Good to Have
- Experience with design-to-code tools or pipelines
- Knowledge of Node.js for tooling and automation
- Exposure to AI/ML-based developer tools or LLM integrations
- Experience in SaaS or fast-paced startup environments
