Role Description
- Prepare and review BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates.
- Analyze project requirements, customer specifications, and technical documents.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of designs and costings.
- Provide design modifications and value engineering proposals when necessary.
- Prepare cost comparison sheets and budget breakdowns.
- Maintain and update design and costing databases, templates, and standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in design and cost optimization.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 35 years of proven experience in design and costing/estimation, preferably in cable manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and costing tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards, engineering practices, and materials.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
