Role Purpose

The role is responsible for managing the credit strategies for partner specific programs as well as monitoring early warning signs of stress in the portfolio to support implementation of strategies for acquisition and optimal limit assignment based on internal models.

Role Accountability

  • Closely work with the co-brand & banca team to manage the credit strategies for partner specific programs
  • Monitor approval rates and delinquency and adherence to credit policy for partner specific programs.
  • Support in dynamic adjustment of score cut-offs & limits to manage early delinquency.
  • Oversee testing (UAT, PVT) and implementation of strategy changes in decision engine.
  • Track detailed soft approval rates, decline reasons, final approval rates, highlight significant changes & steps to improve the same.
  • Analyze alternate data and its use in credit strategy.
  • Facilitate regular asset quality reviews with provision of analytics insights to identify risks/opportunities and recommend relevant actions.
  • Actively drive DRE (Data room exercise) with partners and ensure the same is done within Infosec & Compliance approvals.
  • Track and monitor application & DRE model stability for each individual partner.
  • Work closely with the modeling team to ensure the DRE model output is being used in credit strategy.
  • Work closely with the product / digital team to ensure the End-to-end onboarding process for co-brands through digital channels is working as per expectations.

Measures of Success

  • Early Delinquency as per agreed threshold
  • Instances of errors in signed-off system implementations.
  • Effective monitoring of dashboards to highlight early warning signs of stress in the portfolio.

Technical Skills / Experience / Certifications

  • Experience in data modeling tools - good working knowledge of SAS, SPSS Modeler, SAS E Miner, Python, etc. (at least one is required)
  • Good understanding of credit cards market environment and competitor landscape on retail lending
  • Exposure to digital channels, fintech's and online tools for credit lending
