Role Overview

OMEGA is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Deputy Manager Sales & Marketing to drive volume growth, revenue enhancement, and market expansion for the agency/principal business. The role requires strong exposure to direct/agency shipping line operations, with particular focus on USA and WCSA trade lanes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve budgeted volume and revenue targets for assigned agency/principal accounts.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase market share in Tuticorin and surrounding regions.
  • Maintain and expand direct relationships with BCOs (Beneficial Cargo Owners) and key customers.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and trade route developments.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to principals (primarily USA/WCSA sectors) and management.
  • Generate and present monthly sales performance reports and market intelligence updates.
  • Identify new business opportunities and strengthen the existing customer base.
  • Coordinate internally with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • 1012 years of relevant experience in Direct/Agency Shipping Line Sales.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of trade routes, especially USA and WCSA sectors.
  • Direct BCO handling experience is mandatory.

  • Strong Business Development and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth market knowledge and competitor analysis capability.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to prepare structured presentations and reports (PowerPoint proficiency preferred).
