Role Overview
OMEGA is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Deputy Manager Sales & Marketing to drive volume growth, revenue enhancement, and market expansion for the agency/principal business. The role requires strong exposure to direct/agency shipping line operations, with particular focus on USA and WCSA trade lanes.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve budgeted volume and revenue targets for assigned agency/principal accounts.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to increase market share in Tuticorin and surrounding regions.
- Maintain and expand direct relationships with BCOs (Beneficial Cargo Owners) and key customers.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and trade route developments.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports to principals (primarily USA/WCSA sectors) and management.
- Generate and present monthly sales performance reports and market intelligence updates.
- Identify new business opportunities and strengthen the existing customer base.
- Coordinate internally with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 1012 years of relevant experience in Direct/Agency Shipping Line Sales.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of trade routes, especially USA and WCSA sectors.
- Direct BCO handling experience is mandatory.
