Position Title: Deputy Manager - Sales

Role Purpose
The Deputy Manager - Sales will be a self-driven and accountable professional responsible for driving business growth and managing the sales portfolio across the West India market for warehouse automation solutions. Based in Mumbai and reporting to the General Manager - Sales, this role focuses on business development, key account management, and solution selling within the warehouse automation, intralogistics, and material handling automation industry, with a strong emphasis on achieving order intake and revenue targets aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive order booking and revenue generation for assigned territory.
- Identify, develop, and convert opportunities in warehouse automation, intralogistics, and material handling solutions.
- Generate new business through prospecting, market mapping, and strategic customer engagement.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order closure.
Customer & Account Management
- Develop and manage relationships with key customers, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Handle strategic/key accounts and support long-term account growth.
- Understand customer requirements and position appropriate automation solutions.
Solution Selling & Proposal Management
- Work closely with engineering, solution design, and proposal teams to develop techno-commercial solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, commercial offers, and business presentations.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and order finalization.
Market Development
- Analyse market trends, competition, and customer needs in the Assigned region.
- Develop sales strategies to expand market share in target sectors such as e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, FMCG, and 3PL.
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams including engineering, project execution, finance, and service teams for seamless project handover.
- Provide sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and business reports to the General Manager.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Automation) preferred
- MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred
Experience
- 8-12 years of experience in B2B industrial sales / solution sales.
- Proven experience in warehouse automation, intralogistics, conveyors, ASRS, sortation, or material handling systems preferred.
- Experience handling mid-to-large value solution sales and complex sales cycles.
