Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager Procurement (Buyer) to join our Procurement team in Mumbai. The role involves managing end-to-end purchasing activities for onshore and offshore EPC, PMC, and EPCM projects across domestic and group projects, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complete purchasing cycle for assigned Material Requisitions (MRs)
  • Handle procurement activities for EPC, PMC, and EPCM projects (PSU and private clients)
  • Generate and manage bidder lists for allocated MRs
  • Prepare, issue, and manage enquiries and purchase orders using Group IT tools, client portals, and GeM portal
  • Follow up with suppliers to obtain timely and compliant offers
  • Perform commercial and contractual evaluations up to supplier selection, in line with project and client procedures
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to resolve technical and commercial clarifications within schedules
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure supplier acceptance without deviations
  • Manage scope changes during PO execution, including amendments
  • Recover liquidated damages and back charges from vendors when applicable
  • Close out purchase orders and provide vendor performance feedback
  • Manage invoice approval processes for EPC and EPCM projects

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 510 years of relevant procurement experience in EPC/PMC/EPCM projects

Languages:

  • English Fluent

  • Excellent organizational abilities with a result-oriented mindset
  • Problem-solving capability with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
