This position is based in Gummidipoondi, hence looking for candidates in & around this locality.

Hindi, English & Tamil are Must

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to join our team as a Deputy Manager/Manager in the HR Department. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in managing HR functions within the manufacturing industry, specifically in the iron and steel sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in streaming HR policies and processes effectively and to handle contract labours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all HR operations, ensuring compliance with the Factory's Act and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives for employee engagement and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • To interact and set polices with the Contractors and Contract Labour optimization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives.
  • Manage recruitment processes to attract, hire, and retain top talent focusing on the specific skill sets needed in the factory environment.
  • Oversee payroll administration ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Streamline HR policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organizational growth.
  • Ensure compliance with DISH and other safety regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • MBA in Human Resources

 

Work Experience:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in HR within a factory setting, preferably in the iron and steel industry.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role, with the last position being Deputy Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Should be in and around Gummidipoondi locality.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in change management and organizational development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
