What will you do:

  • Lead and coordinate production processes by effectively guiding teams through standardized work procedures and short interval management
  • Monitor and optimize production performance to meet quality standards, schedules, and efficiency targets
  • Execute training programs to enhance team capabilities and ensure successful process execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, and Sales to develop effective production schedules
  • Identify and escalate improvement opportunities while actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Function: Contact Welding Production

Location: Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities

  • Design for assembly – carryout manufacturing feasibility on the new product design and get the required modification in product design. Strongly influence design and engineering department by proposing solution improving the manufacturability of a product.
  • Coordinate with cross function teams to realise the project goals
  • Leads technical trials and tests to validate critical welding technologies
  • Participate in the installation and setting up of new equipment in the factories.
  • Perform experimental welding to evaluate new equipment, techniques, and materials
  • Able to lead to qualification of the different products.
  • Contact and maintain good relationship with global welding experts to exchange ideas, information and to seek technical advice.
  • Evaluates new developments in welding field for possible application to current welding problems or production processes.
  • Prepares technical reports as result of research and development and preventive maintenance investigations.
  • Establishes welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel relating to specification restrictions, material processes and critical assembly process.
  • Directs and coordinates technical personnel in performing inspections to ensure operators compliance with established welding procedures, restrictions, and standards; in testing welds for conformance with assembly specification requirements; or testing welding personnel for certification.

Profile Required

  • Required skills & knowledge for the position:
  • Strong knowledge on Welding fundamentals
  • Should possess strong knowledge on resistance and Induction welding techniques
  • Able to select welding equipment based on product assembly requirement.
  • Able to specify power supply needs, water flow and water temperature requirements of the equipment.
  • Should be familiar with different material compositions, plating thickness and hardness.
  • Experienced in AgNi (Silver nickel), AGCW (Silver Corbon tungsten) and Copper material welding techniques.
  • Able to design and develop Welding fixtures based on geometry of the parts.
  • Able to specify electrode material and design based on the geometry of the part and composition of the material.
  • Able to derive and optimize the welding parameters to achieve assembly specifications of the product.
  • Able to design and implement water cooling system and pneumatic systems of the equipment.
  • Should possess knowledge and hands on experience using power, force measuring instruments and adopt calibration procedures of the equipment.
  • Should possess knowledge on using assembly specification measuring tools.
  • Able to distinguish effects and impacts after welding.
  • Able to implement welding tool changeover procedures and adjustments for different references.
  • Should have knowledge on usage of welding process monitoring devices.
  • Required Educational Background & Professional Experience:
  • Tech in Mechanical engineering with 6 – 8 year experience.
