Job Description

Reinsurance Finance function in India primarily supports the quarterly closing and reporting process of Reinsurance Business. There are different sub-processes performed by Reinsurance Financial reporting team in India which includes but is not limited to: Quarter end Close, Reporting, Reconciliation, Planning, Business Analysis processes, etc. This position will be supporting the AXA XL Reinsurance Legal Entity Reporting team.

What you'll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of regulatory reporting programs (BSCR Class 4 schedules, surveys, and related regulatory filings) across multiple entities and schedules.
  • Understand and drive governance, risk, and control framework for regulatory submissions; manage cross-functional teams, timelines, and quality assurance; drive improvements and automate where feasible.
  • Support the preparation of AXA XL Reinsurance consolidated financial statements including notes to FS on IFRS17 basis.
  • Lead conversations with multi-discipline teams (Finance, CAT Risk, Compliance, Legal, Actuarial, FRM and Tax) to collect, validate, and consolidate inputs.
  • Responsible for preparing and posting journal entries post review and sign off by LE controllers or CFO.
  • Oversee reconciliations and data integrity checks; manage risk of misstatement or delays; implement mitigations.
  • Maintain excellent communication with onshore (both written and verbal) and manage expectations.
  • Liaise with IT, EFR and HFM teams on routine information requests.
  • Monitor due dates, flag at-risk items, and escalate blockers to the LE controllers.
  • Develops and maintains process documentation.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements; lead automation initiatives (data extraction, reconciliation, dashboards, and controls).
  • Support Ad-hoc activities.

You will report to Delivery Lead, Financial Reporting & Accounting.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills And Abilities

  • Accounting and Analytical skills: Qualified CA with relevant years ofexperience or MBA Finance with relevant years or experience in Financial Accounting & Internal reporting.
  • Excellent Accounting knowledge preferably on IFRS preparation of Journal Entries, Income Statement Analysis, Balance Sheet analysis and commentary, Financial Planning & Analysis etc.
  • Communication skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Finance Reporting (EFR), QlikView, Power BI & HFM / Smart-View, IFRS 17, will be an added advantage.
  • MS Office skills: Should have effective MS Excel and Power Point skills. Knowledge of VBA is an added advantage.
