Deputy Manager (Engine Peripherals)

Position: DM Engine Peripherals

CTC: 15 LPA

Department: Design & Development, R&D

Reporting to: Manager Engine Systems

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)

Experience: 5+ years in Automotive/Engine Design & Development, with specialization in engine peripherals (cooling, lubrication, intake, exhaust, mounting systems, etc.)

Job Purpose & Role: Lead the design, development, and validation of engine peripheral components and systems, ensuring robust design, manufacturability, and compliance with automotive standards. Provide technical guidance to the design team and collaborate with cross-functional departments for successful project execution.

Key Activities & Expectations:

Lead 2D & 3D modelling and design of engine peripherals using CATIA.

Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications for engine subsystems.

Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T application, and ensure manufacturability.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for DFMEA / PFMEA and design reviews.

Ensure adherence to automotive standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO, etc.).

Support prototype development, validation, and issue resolution.

Drive innovation and cost optimization in engine subsystem design.

Mentor junior engineers and manage project deliverables.

Key Deliverables & Technical Skills Required:

Expertise in CATIA V5/V6 for design & modelling of engine peripherals.

Strong knowledge of automotive engine systems and peripheral components.

Hands-on experience in GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering standards.

Ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving discussions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and report preparation.

Experience with design validation, DFMEA, DVP&R processes.
