Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager – Costing to manage end-to-end costing, pricing, financial analysis, and SAP CO processes for crusher equipment (Domestic, Export, and NPD). The role requires strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional coordination, and expertise in cost optimization, reporting, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and on-time costing and pricing for Domestic Crusher Equipment, aligning with business targets and margins.
- Manage region-wise export pricing, considering logistics, duties, currency fluctuations, and market competitiveness.
- Lead costing and pricing activities for New Product Development (NPD), supporting business cases and profitability analysis.
- Regularize, validate, and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) and routing structures, ensuring correctness in system and alignment with actual production.
- Ensure timely creation, validation, and accuracy of master data in SAP for smooth costing and production processes.
- Perform machine hour rate calculations by analyzing fixed and variable costs, ensuring accuracy in cost allocation.
- Execute month-end costing activities, including cost roll-ups, variance settlement, and reconciliation of cost data.
- Conduct Plan vs. Actual variance analysis, identify root causes, and provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency.
- Perform Sales Order profitability analysis, highlighting margin deviations and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare and present monthly MIS reports, including Sales, COGM (Cost of Goods Manufactured), and detailed P&L analysis.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to management for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor inventory performance, including ageing analysis, non-moving/slow-moving items, and Work-in-Progress (WIP).
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives, reducing excess stock and improving working capital efficiency.
- Plan and execute VAVE (Value Analysis & Value Engineering) initiatives to achieve sustainable cost reductions.
- Identify and implement cost-saving projects, tracking benefits and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Prepare and support cost audit reports, ensuring compliance with statutory and internal audit requirements.
- Lead SAP FI/CO process automation and improvements, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and control mechanisms.
- Support SAP testing, validation, and implementation activities, ensuring smooth system upgrades and changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Production, Supply Chain, Sales) to standardize processes and improve cost visibility.
Educational Qualification:
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in costing, preferably in manufacturing / heavy equipment industry.
