Job Purpose: Responsible for preparing and managing cost reports, conducting budget analysis, and ensuring accurate financial tracking to support effective decision-making. Monitors budget compliance, coordinates with project managers on financial aspects, and oversees vendor cost reconciliation. Develops and implements reporting tools to improve financial data visibility and utilizes digital tools like SAP to enhance cost management efficiency.

Responsibilities

Cost Analyst - ABSO

Cost Reporting And Analysis

Prepare and manage monthly cost reports for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to provide insights on financial performance.

Perform cash flow analysis and prepare financial forecasts to support effective budget planning.

Maintain and oversee cost reports, ensuring regular updates on the financial position are provided.

Utilize SAP and other digital systems to gather data for cost reports and to validate spending accuracy.

Budget Management And Compliance

Monitor and support WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) budget management by regularly reviewing budget vs. actuals for each business vertical.

Coordinate the change management process for the business, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

Supervise capital project budgets, ensuring they remain within approved funding and that allocated costs align with project spending.

Reporting And Tracking Tools

Assist in developing and implementing cost tracking tools to improve the visibility of financial data.

Generate and analyze reports related to vendor costs, direct and indirect expenses, and budget variances on a monthly and quarterly basis to support decision-making.

Prepare dashboards and trend analysis reports to monitor financial performance and highlight any discrepancies or cost-saving opportunities.

Project And Vendor Coordination

Coordinate with project managers and relevant stakeholders to track project timelines, budgets, and any required financial support or adjustments.

Oversee the reconciliation of vendor costs and ensure accurate invoicing in line with budgeted amounts.

Digital Dexterity

Leverage digital tools, such as SAP and other analytics software, to improve the efficiency of cost management processes and enhance data accuracy.

Support the development of automated dashboards to enable real-time cost monitoring and improve report generation speed.

Office timing : 8 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday and 8am to 12:30 pm on Saturday

May be need to visit Australia if required for 3 to 4 weeks in a year.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

B. Tech in Engineering from a reputed college.

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

4-6 Years of Experience in Cost Contols, preferably in Mine Costing & Mine Planning Projects.
