Job Description

Position Title: Deputy Manager Controlling

Department: Controlling

Location: CSN

  • Role Overview

The Controlling Executive will be responsible for Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial accounting, Audits and Assessments also ensuring adherence to all statutory, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements across Finance, HR, and factory operations. This includes daytoday handling of GST, Customs matters and coordination for labour law compliances, factory and environmental regulations, and general administrative oversight. The role ensures that the organization operates within the Financial and legal framework and maintains robust control processes.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Finance & Tax Compliances
  • Perform financial statutory accounting and Group reporting (IFRS), including internal auditing and assessments
  • Manage GST registrations, monthly/quarterly returns, reconciliations, and annual filings.
  • Oversee Customs compliance, including documentation, coordination with CHA, duty calculations, and ensuring adherence to import/export norms.
  • Monitor changes in GST/Customs laws and update internal processes accordingly.
  • Monitor transfer prices in coordination with headquarters
  • Coordinate with auditors for statutory and Group reporting.
  • EPCG, RoDTEP, DBK schemes
  • HR & Labour Law Compliances
  • Support managers and employees in all aspects of HR service and personnel development
  • Ensure compliance of new labour code regulations like, PF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity, Bonus, Factories Act, etc.
  • Maintain statutory registers, records, returns, and timely submissions.
  • Coordinate with government authorities during inspections and audits.
  • Support HR with compliance in onboarding, contracts, and employee documentation.
  • Coordination for Factory & Operational Compliances
  • Ensure adherence to factory licenses, environmental clearances (MPCB), safety norms, fire compliance, and related renewals.
  • Maintain documentation for pollution control board compliance (air, water, waste).
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to assess compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Production/Operations teams for statutory requirements.
  • General Administration
  • Oversee general administrative compliance including vendor documentation, legal contracts, and asset management.
  • Maintain company records, agreements, and compliance calendar.
  • Support crossfunctional teams with compliance guidance and documentation.
  • Management accounting and financial controlling
  • Advise management in financial matters, oversee internal management reporting
  • Track and report on profitability of the company, particularly margin analysis under a standard costing system.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and development of the product costing and cost centre framework
  • Manage liquidity and currency exposure
  • Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of GST, Customs, factory and new labour code, Schemes like DBK, RoDTEP, EPCG.
  • Good understanding of statutory and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and followup skills.
  • Ability to interact with government authorities and auditors.
  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problemsolving approach.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • CA / ICFAI / CMA / CA intermediate
  • 8-10 years of experience in compliance, finance, HR and statutory matters, ideally in a multinational manufacturing operation.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP in a manufacturing environment (R3 or S4)
