Job SummaryThe Deputy Manager will be responsible for supporting Asset Liability Management (ALM) modeling initiatives using Prophet, ensuring robust risk management and compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves model development, testing, governance, and reporting for ALM and related actuarial processes.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Prophet ALM models to support risk and capital management.
  • Interpret data, assumptions, application codes, and model outputs, providing validation and clear explanations.
  • Review outputs prepared by the team and ensure accuracy through thorough documentation.
  • Conduct results analysis, including variance, scenario, and sensitivity testing, to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Prophet is plus, or anyother actuarial softwares(GGY Axis, MG ALFHA etc.,) and ALM modeling techniques.
  • Understanding of life insurance products and actuarial principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA, and familiarity with SQL or Python for data handling is plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.Competencies
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in model development and validation.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and provide clear insights.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Adaptability to regulatory and business changes.Qualifications
  • 57 years of work experience in actuarial modeling or ALM.
  • Graduate or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Economics.
  • Minimum 4 actuarial exams from IAI, SOA, or IFoA.
  • Broad understanding of model development, valuation, and multiple lines of business.
