Role Description

Practice Area: Dispute Resolution (Corporate Litigation & Insolvency)

Experience (PQE): 10-15 Years

Position Overview:

This is a senior leadership role designed for an advocate who can take full ownership of a diverse portfolio of corporate disputes. The Deputy Head will be responsible for the strategic direction of cases, ensuring high-quality delivery for our clients, and fostering the growth of our litigation team with minimal supervision from senior partners.

Focus Areas: Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process, Liquidation, Avoidance Transactions, Shareholder Disputes including Oppression and Mismanagement, Mergers, Acquisitions and Schemes of Arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

Litigation Strategy & Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of corporate and insolvency matters. You will be expected to formulate legal strategies that align with client business objectives and ensure their effective execution in court.

Court Advocacy: Act as the lead counsel in matters before various benches of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), National Company Law Appellate Tribunals (NCLAT) and the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

Team Leadership & Oversight: Supervise and mentor a team of associates and senior associates. You will review drafts, provide direction on research, and manage the vertical's workflow to ensure all deadlines and quality standards are met.

Direct Client Handling: Serve as a primary point of contact for corporate clients. This involves providing regular case updates, advising on risk mitigation, and managing client expectations throughout the litigation lifecycle.
