Responsibility-
Expectations
- Supervise installation as per approved drawings
- Ensure cable/conduit route, device, and panel locations are as per final revision of approved drawings
Supervision of quality work
- Ensure laying of cables/conduits and installation of devices are as per quality standards during execution
- Coordinate with the Quality team for regular audits
System knowledge
- Hands-on experience with installation, testing, and commissioning of CCTV, Access, BMS, and Fire Alarm systems
- Certifications for commissioning of security and fire detection systems
Project management
- Hands-on experience in project management and vendor management for fitout, global customers, key accounts, pharma, and healthcare industries
Coordination with customer, PMC, consultant, TP services
- Coordinate for site clearance
- Highlight dependencies in site meetings and follow-up for clearances
- Conduct daily stand-up coordination meetings with PMC and customers if dependencies are not cleared after follow-ups
Subcon management at site
- Ensure subcon productivity and manpower requirements are aligned with project schedule
- Highlight manpower needs to PM/AOM timely to meet deadlines
- Escalate to ROM/RGM/NOM if manpower requests are not addressed
Preparation of daily and weekly project progress reports
- Send weekly project reports (WPR) to customer/PMC highlighting last week's progress and next week's plan
- Clearly communicate site dependencies, preferably in the email body
- Prepare and send daily progress reports (DPR) if project-specific
Preparation of material delivery tracker
- Collaborate with Project Manager to track material delivery dates from purchase
- Highlight delays affecting project completion timelines
Material reconciliation (every 15 days)
- Maintain records comparing PO vs. approved design vs. ordered quantity vs. delivered quantity
EHS compliance
- Ensure adherence to JCI or project-specific EHS practices by subcontractors and engineers
VO management
- Create VO opportunities including tender/non-tender, time extension, and cost escalation
- Aim for VO of 10–15% of project value
Invoicing submission and certification
- Ensure invoice certification from PMC/customer within one week of submission
Site meetings
- Attend site meetings
- Raise alerts for dependencies or clearances that may impact project delivery
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher levels of PMC/customer
Coordination with cross-functional teams (Design, SCM, L&D, Quality, Finance)
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure project deliveries
- Escalate to next organizational level if support required to meet project timelines
Testing, commissioning, and handing over
- Perform pre-commissioning checks before T&C
- Seek technical or resource support from PM in advance
- Begin preparation of O&M manuals and as-built drawings during pre-commissioning stage
