Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage the commercial, financial, and legal aspects of projects. The role involves cross-company coordination, contract management, risk and claim management, and ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting project managers in achieving financial and strategic targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizational Project Set-Up:
- Proactively manage customer relationships and resolve commercial issues.
- Verify the correctness of the project's contractual structure in commercial tools.
- Cross-Company Coordination:
- Ensure transparency and consistency of project financials across all Siemens entities.
- Coordinate legal, fiscal, and insurance matters between involved companies.
- Consolidate and analyze project figures across company boundaries.
- Manage internal and external claims between all stakeholders.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and submit summarized global reporting to relevant management levels.
- Ensure documentation meets internal and external requirements.
- Project-Internal Management:
- Support Project Manager in strategic orientation and communication.
- Optimize project gross profit, cash flow, and assets.
- Ensure compliance with fiscal, commercial, and internal rules.
- Manage order entry calculation, concurrent costing, final costing, and asset management.
- Prepare invoices, monitor claims, and manage project-internal controlling (deadlines, costs, quality).
- Lead supply chain management, procurement, delivery, and ECC processes.
- Calculate price variations and ensure escalation formulae are applied.
- Contract Management:
- Draft, negotiate, interpret, and implement contracts with customers, consortium members, and subcontractors.
- Analyze complex international contract structures and drive contract management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk, Claim, and Change Order Management:
- Identify, assess, and implement measures to reduce risks or realize opportunities.
- Manage claims with customers and vendors and handle contractual amendments regarding scope, pricing, or deadlines.
- Develop contingencies and actively manage opportunities and risks.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in project finance, commercial, or controlling roles.
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Finance (CA, MBA, CMA, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP, particularly SD and FICO modules.
- Project Manager certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, risk assessment, and financial management expertise.
