Deputy Chief Manager - Market Analyst

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to provide analyticsdriven strategic support for the organization's growth initiatives. This includes identifying opportunities to acquire, license, or codevelop targeted products through robust market and business analysis; supporting key crossfunctional initiatives and governance mechanisms; delivering insightsbased intelligence to business development teams; and enabling the seamless integration of acquired products into the organization's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Vice President Strategy, Business Development & Strategic Alliances in:

  • Identification of key market trends and changes in paradigm
  • Supporting business development team with analytics driven market insights, business case reviews, stakeholder reviews, etc.
  • Identifying key shifts such as innovation capabilities, evolving business models, acquisition opportunities, portfolio transformations, that can radically change the way PCC operates
  • Development of strategy roadmap for PCC
  • Developing holistic solutions and subsequently initiatives for complex problems in the organization
  • Establishing leading governance practices for key governance fora in the organization
  • Developing collaterals for key review meetings (e.g., Board meeting, Pharma Exec. Council, PCC Executive Committee, etc.) on business related topics

Key Competencies

  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across functions, geographies, etc.
  • High focus on quantitative and qualitative analysis, scenario planning and business profitability
  • Sound understanding of strategy, pharma operations, M&A, Finance
  • Ability to liaise effectively with key stakeholders
  • Drive execution and program management while influencing without authority
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Key Stakeholders

  • Internal: COO, Sales & Marketing teams North America and International Markets, Portfolio, R&D, Business Development
  • External: Strategic Partners (e.g., CDMOs), Corporate Development teams

Essential Qualification

  • Full time MBA in Marketing / Operations / Finance / Strategy from Premier B-School

Relevant Experience

  • 4-6 years experience in strategy and business development roles in Pharma industry (e.g., Strategy, M&A, BD, etc.). Consulting experience will be beneficial but not essential
