The RoleOur Pukekohe and Waiuku practices are currently on the lookout for a casual Dental Assistant / Receptionist to support their teams!
The majority of your work will be as a Dental Assistant supporting our clinicians, but we will likely need you to support reception on occasion too.
As one of our receptionists, you will be the friendly face that our patients see when they enter our doors and the voice they hear when they call our practice. A typical day will see you assisting our patients with their enquiries, generating, and confirming appointment bookings for our clinicians, payment processing, banking, and other ad hoc administrative duties.
As one of our Dental Assistants, you will work alongside our highly trained clinicians and other dental professionals to provide excellent patient care and support. You will be tasked with supporting our clinicians during various dental procedures and ensuring best practice standards are upheld, and the best patient care is provided to every patient. You will also take control of tasks such as sterilisation and infection control, ensuring all instruments and equipment are processed and sterilised following best practice guidelines.
This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will be someone who enjoys working closely within a team and providing upstanding customer service.
The LocationPukekohe and Waiuku practices
.Responsibilities- Greet patients in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
- Respond to Patient emails and queries.
- Process payments and book appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and filing systems.
- Assist Clinicians during dental procedures, such as taking X-rays, sterilising instruments, and preparing materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for use
- Stock and order dental supplies
The Person- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer-facing role
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant beneficial
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in using computer software applications.
- Experience with file keeping and data entry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
