Role Overview
You will drive the end-to-end delivery of enterprise analytics data engineering engagements - owning internal platform upgrades, pipeline optimizations, and reusable accelerators while tailoring and delivering solutions for strategic clients in energy, utilities, manufacturing, and more.
Balancing technical leadership, client partnership, and pre-sales support, you'll collaborate closely with Architecture, SRE, and Sales teams to ensure our data platforms and pipelines meet performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, and business-outcome objectives.
You also lead RFP responses, workshops, and demos, with success measured by platform availability, throughput, deployment velocity, customer satisfaction (NPS), RFP win rates, and upsell pipeline growth requiring exceptional leadership, communication, technical expertise, and strategic acumen.
Core Responsibilities
- Program Leadership : Own planning, budgeting, risk management, and governance for data ingestion, transformation, and modeling workstreams.
- Technical Oversight : Champion best practices in ELT/ETL (Airflow, dbt), cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub), and data quality frameworks.
- Team Development : Mentor and review delivery leads, data engineers, and external partners; enforce architecture and code standards.
- Stakeholder Management : Interface with senior business and IT sponsors; translate strategy into roadmaps, dashboards, and SLAs.
- Pre-Sales & RFP : Lead solution definition, effort estimation, and value-proposition articulation for RFPs and proposals.
- Sales-Enablement : Collaborate with Sales/Pre-Sales teams to craft pitches, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
- Reporting & Documentation : Produce executive-level status reports, financial forecasts, and post-mortem analyses.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in analytics or data-engineering delivery, including years leading enterprise programs.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern orchestration (Airflow, dbt).
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and P&L accountability.
- Strong SQL and Python (or Scala/Java) skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skillscomfortable with C-suite and technical audiences.
- Bachelor s or master s in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Nice-to-Have
- Certified in Agile (Scrum), PMP, or Cloud Architecture.
- Experience with data-governance tools (Collibra, Alation) and MLOps frameworks.
- Prior consulting or managed-services background.
- Proven track record in RFP response leadership and crafting successful sales pitches.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
