As a Delivery Lead SAP at Koch, you will lead and grow a mid-sized SAP development team to design, deliver, and operate SAP solutions that support Koch's GeorgiaPacific business. In this role you'll drive technical direction for ERP modernization (S/4HANA, Fiori, cloud) while ensuring high delivery quality, crossteam integration, and operational readiness. Reports to the SAP Delivery Leader.
Our Team
You will be part of the Business Segments Delivery Team within Koch Technology (KT) India, aligned to the GeorgiaPacific portfolio. The team is an international, crossfunctional engineering organization that partners with functional leads, infrastructure/basis, integration developers, and business stakeholders across India and the US to deliver ERP solutions and modernization initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of 1015 SAP developers to build technical competence, accountability, and continuous improvement across people and delivery practices.
- Act as the ERP technical lead and thought partner for modernization efforts (S/4HANA migration, Fiori/UI5, ABAP on RAP), translating strategic goals into sustainable technical direction.
- Drive crossdiscipline collaboration with functional, integration, infrastructure, and business application teams to ensure endtoend solution alignment, integration, and performance.
- Ensure operational excellence through architecture and design reviews, structured documentation, automation, release/transport controls, and performance optimization.
- Oversee delivery governance: prioritize work, manage technical escalations, track progress against milestones, and partner with business and IT leaders to mitigate risks and set technical priorities.
- Champion design for longterm value: review technical designs, challenge shortterm tradeoffs, and promote scalable, maintainable solutions that balance business needs and technical debt.
- Promote Agile and DevOps practices in delivery workflows, and ensure systems are observable and incidentready.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Minimum 10 years of ERP application development experience, including handson SAP development
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading midsized development teams or proven experience managing onshore/offshore delivery teams.
- Practical experience with modern SAP technologies: S/4HANA, ABAP (RAP/AMDP), CDS Views, UI5/Fiori, and OData.
- Experience in ERP integration and data modeling, including developing custom solutions and integration patterns across SAP and nonSAP systems.
- Experience delivering in Agile environments and applying DevOps practices to SAP delivery.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with HANA development (AMDP, CDS, HANA SQL/DBAs) and SAP Cloud Platform offerings.
- Familiarity with SAP transport management, AIF, data replication/synchronization (SLT) and SAP integration tools (PO/PI, SCPPI, SCPDS).
- Exposure to SAP ecosystem cloud apps (Ariba, IBP, Hybris Commerce/Hybris Marketing) and hybrid integration patterns.
- Experience using ABAP development tools such as ABAP in Eclipse and working with CI/CD pipelines for SAP artifacts.
- Willingness to participate in a rotational oncall roster, carry a companyprovided smartphone, and maintain home highspeed Internet for remote work and support.
