We are seeking a Delivery Lead/Manager to lead projects for the Control System Integration team. You will be responsible for overseeing control system design, process controls, and information solutions, while also providing hands-on technical expertise and mentorship to develop the next generation of engineers. This role requires extensive experience with various control system platforms and a deep understanding of industrial automation and networking.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize control systems for process industries and packaging machinery.
- Provide technical solutions for complex automation challenges across multiple manufacturing platforms.
- Develop and maintain electrical and control system standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical control system issues.
- Implement industrial networking solutions and integrate various control systems.
- Coach and mentor junior electrical and controls engineers in system design, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Review and validate electrical and control system designs and programs developed by junior engineers.
- Guide junior engineers in developing engineering specifications and original design concepts.
- Develop and conduct technical training programs for team members.
- Create technical documentation and knowledge base materials.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrated expertise in process and packaging machinery control systems.
- Extensive experience in the selection and use of control system hardware.
- Expert-level knowledge in PLC, HMI, and SCADA system design, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with platforms like Allen Bradley, Siemens, Ignition, Wonderware GE, and Rockwell Siemens Drives.
- Strong understanding of industrial networks and communication protocols, such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus.
- Proven experience with motion control systems and servo applications.
- Expert knowledge in the selection of motors, motor controllers, and drives, including relevant calculations.
- Proficiency in selecting sensor technologies and other control elements.
- Conversant with codes, standards, and regulations like UL, IEC, ANSI, ISA, NEC, NEMA, and NFPA.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and IIoT Technologies.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Integration.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Proven mentoring and coaching experience.
- Project management capabilities.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering (ICE); a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications in automation/controls are preferred.
