Job Purpose: -
The role entails supporting a senior professional from the Finance team of a leading Hedge fund, wherein the candidate is responsible accounting, reporting, and operational support for a portfolio of alternative investment funds, specifically focusing on infrastructure, private debt, and private equity. They ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations. This role relies heavily on independent judgment and discretion and includes only limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities: -
- Conduct in-depth research on global and regional macroeconomic trends, as well as industry-specific developments impacting real estate markets. Summarize and present findings to stakeholders.
- Research, profile, and assess the financial standing of target borrowers, sponsors, and tenants. Prepare supporting materials and due diligence packs.
- Compile comprehensive summary reports for real estate assets, including location, usage, risk assessment, and performance history.
- Support initial underwriting processes by developing indicative loan sizing models, collating relevant inputs, and preparing data packs.
- Conduct thorough sales and leasing comparables analysis to benchmark.
- Assist in drafting and optimizing Investment Committee memos.
- Build, maintain, and audit detailed financial models for investment underwriting, scenario analysis, and asset performance tracking
- Design high-quality presentations and create supporting graphics/visualizations.
- Support ongoing asset monitoring activities (rent roll analysis, financial statement review, property performance tracking, reporting property tapes.
Key Competencies: -
- At least 4-6 years of experience in financial modeling, asset evaluation, macro/industry research, and the creation of high-quality presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to independently manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to clearly convey financial data trends.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex organizational structures.
- Ability to solve practical problems and continuously identify new ways to improve processes.
- Chartered Accountant, CFA or MBA from a top tier business school.
