Role Overview
The Delivery Lead / Head – Banking is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery ownership of large-scale banking programs, ensuring business outcomes, high client satisfaction, and operational excellence. The role requires strong banking domain expertise, program and delivery leadership, and working knowledge of AI and data-led solutions to drive innovation and efficiency across banking engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Program Leadership
- Own end‑to‑end delivery for multiple banking accounts/programs (Retail, Corporate, Digital, Risk, Payments, etc.).
- Ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery across projects and managed services.
- Drive delivery governance, project tracking, risk management, and escalation resolution.
- Establish and improve delivery frameworks, KPIs, and best practices.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as senior client interface for delivery, operations, and transformation initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with CXOs, IT Heads, and Business Leaders in banks.
- Support pre-sales activities, solution discussions, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Ensure high CSAT, renewal, and account growth through delivery excellence.
Banking Domain Expertise
- Bring deep understanding of banking processes and platforms, such as:
- Core Banking Systems
- Digital Banking & Channels
- Payments & Clearing
- Lending & Credit
- Risk, Compliance, AML, KYC
- Translate business needs into technology and solution roadmaps.
AI & Data Enablement (Working Knowledge)
- Apply AI/ML concepts to improve banking use cases such as:
- Fraud detection
- Customer personalization
- Chatbots & virtual assistants
- Credit risk & scoring
- Process automation and document intelligence
- Collaborate with data science, AI, and engineering teams to integrate AI solutions.
- Evaluate AI opportunities while ensuring regulatory compliance, explainability, and ethics.
- Drive adoption of AI-powered delivery improvements (predictive analytics, intelligent automation).
People & Financial Management
- Lead and mentor large, multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
- Manage capacity planning, utilization, hiring, and performance management.
- Own delivery P&L, cost optimization, and margin improvement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 15+ years of experience in BFSI delivery leadership
- Proven track record managing large banking programs/accounts
- Strong understanding of banking operations and IT landscapes
- Experience with Agile, SAFe, and traditional delivery models
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and data-driven solutions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Good to Have
- Experience delivering AI, analytics, or automation initiatives in banking
- Exposure to cloud platforms, data platforms, and digital transformation
- PMP / SAFe / ITIL / AI or Data certifications
- Experience working with global banking clients
