What role you will play in team

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Production Accountant/System Analyst to join our Produce to Report team, supporting assets in Cold Lake, Kearl, and Norman Wells. This full-time role is critical for maintaining accurate volumetric and operational data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting internal and external reporting requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Measurement, and Engineering teams, contributing to daily reconciliations, audits, and system integrity. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to established business practices.

Job will be based at Bangalore Whitefield EM office for 5 days a week.

What you will do

  • Ensure daily accuracy and timeliness of production accounting and volumetric reporting.
  • Perform volume reconciliations and ensure compliance with Petrinex and other regulatory standards.
  • Lead and coordinate daily production reviews, resolving discrepancies with field teams.
  • Maintain and update desk manuals, complete Management of Change (MOC) documentation, and submit data incident reports.
  • Investigate and resolve data integrity issues across systems (Energy Components, X-Stream).
  • Support internal and external audits, participate in system testing, and contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

Required Skills and qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in production accounting, preferably in heavy oil operations or Mining industries.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Hydrocarbon volumetric accounting
  • Degree in Finance - Bachelors/ Masters/ CA/ CPA/ CMA/ MBA
  • Technical Expertise: Hydrocarbon volumetric accounting and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word) experience with Energy Components, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, VBA, and data visualization tools is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.
  • Flexible, resilient, and committed to safety culture and evolving business needs.
  • Field Data Capture, Raw Data, Well Production & Joint Venture
  • Water & Oil Volume Confirmations, Splits & Allocations
  • Gas Allocations, Volumetrics, Production Accounting Analysis
  • Fee Calculations, Journal Entries, Revenue Allocations, Oil Valuations
