- Spearhead the development and execution of a long-term strategic plan for the school/faculty.

Academic Excellence
- Lead curriculum design, academic program development, and accreditation processes.
- Implement experiential learning models, industry-integrated pedagogy, and student-centered education.
- Promote academic rigor, ethics, and excellence across all programs.
Research & Innovation
- Encourage faculty and student-led research, innovation, startups, and IP generation.
- Facilitate research grants, industry partnerships, and international collaborations.
- Lead initiatives to establish Centers of Excellence and research labs.
Faculty Development & Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a diverse and high-performing faculty team.
- Conduct regular faculty development programs, workshops, and leadership initiatives.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented academic environment.
Student Experience & Outcomes
- Enhance student engagement, life skills, and career readiness.
- Build systems for academic advising, internships, global exposure, and placements.
- Lead initiatives for international student recruitment and exchange programs.
Administrative Leadership
- Manage budgets, resource planning, infrastructure development, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure regulatory adherence to UGC, AICTE, PCI, NAAC, NBA, and Goa state education regulations.
- Prepare and implement strategic reports for internal and external stakeholders.
External Engagement & Partnerships
- Build strong industry-academic alliances, MoUs, and community outreach programs.
- Representing the university in academic forums, conferences, and international education fairs.
- Lead efforts to improve NIRF rankings, NAAC/NBA scores, and international accreditations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. in a relevant field from a reputed national or international institution.
- At least 15 years of academic experience, with 5+ years in a senior academic leadership role (Dean, Associate Dean, or equivalent).
- A strong record of research publications, funded projects, and academic administration.
- Deep understanding of Indian and global higher education trends, especially NEP 2020.
Preferred Competencies: Dean Faculty of Law & Legal Studies
1. Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Law or a related legal discipline from a reputed institution.
- Strong academic record with published research in national/international journals of repute.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership, preferably at the level of Professor or Associate Dean/Dean.
2. Leadership & Strategic Vision
- Proven ability to lead and inspire faculty, staff, and students in a law school environment.
- Experience in strategic planning, curriculum development, and implementation of academic policies.
- Visionary leadership to promote innovation in legal education and align with contemporary legal trends and industry needs.
3. Administrative and Governance Skills
- Experience in managing academic programs, budgets, faculty recruitment, and accreditations (e.g., NAAC, UGC, BCI).
- Strong understanding of academic regulations, compliance requirements, and institutional governance.
- Ability to liaise effectively with university administration, external regulatory bodies, and legal institutions.
4. Research and Academic Excellence
- Strong research background with a consistent record of funded projects, scholarly publications, or policy contributions.
- Capability to promote a research culture within the faculty and mentor emerging scholars.
- Knowledge of contemporary legal issues including technology law, international law, constitutional law, etc.
5. Industry and Legal Fraternity Engagement
- Active networks within the legal profession including judiciary, law firms, corporate legal departments, and regulatory bodies.
- Capacity to foster partnerships with legal institutions for internships, placements, and collaborative research.
- Understanding of trends in legal practice, and ability to bridge academic learning with professional application.
