Job Description
We are seeking a Data Warehouse Lead to design and deliver a modern analytics platform using Azure Fabric, with exposure to Databricks and Snowflake. This is a hands-on role combining data engineering, analytics enablement, and technical leadership, including mentoring the team on best practices and enforcing architecture & design
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a scalable data warehouse using Azure Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake).
- Build and maintain Python-based ETL pipelines for reliable data ingestion and transformation.
- Develop analytics-ready data models (star/snowflake schemas).
- Perform data analysis to validate data quality and support business insights.
- Collaborate with teams working in Databricks and/or Snowflake environments.
- Mentor a junior data architect on data modeling, platform design, and best practices.
- Establish standards for data quality, governance, security, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data warehousing or data engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Fabric or similar Azure analytics platforms.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and analytics patterns.
- Experience supporting BI and reporting use cases.
- Proven ability to provide technical guidance or mentorship.
Success Measures
- A reliable, scalable Azure Fabricbased data warehouse.
- High-quality, maintainable ETL pipelines.
- Trusted analytical datasets adopted by business teams.
- Clear growth and capability development of the junior data architect.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) and/or Snowflake.
- Experience working in multi-platform or hybrid data environments.
- Familiarity with Power BI or comparable BI tools.
