Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DBT Tech Lead with a strong background in Data Engineering and recent hands-on experience in DBT (minimum 2 years). The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of expertise in building scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and delivering high-quality data transformations. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end data engineering solutions, ensuring best practices, and leading technical implementation within the modern data stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of ETL pipelines and data workflows.
- Develop and manage DBT models, transformations, testing, and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and architect efficient solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across large-scale data systems.
- Perform code reviews, enforce best practices, and guide junior engineers.
- Work closely with DevOps and cloud teams to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot complex data issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to scalability, performance tuning, and modernization of the data platform.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of recent hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and familiarity with modern data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data transformations.
- Experience working with version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with tools like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, or similar.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for data transformations.
