DB2 DBA

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure integrity, availability, and performance of DB2 database systems through proactive maintenance and support
• Monitor database performance and recommend tuning and optimization strategies for operational efficiency
• Assist in capacity planning, space management, and regular data maintenance tasks
• Perform database enhancements and modifications based on business and technical requirements
• Execute regular database backup and recovery operations (daily and weekly)
• Develop and maintain patches and updates for database environments
• Identify and implement database techniques to support business needs and improve data management processes
• Support implementation of new features and bug fixes in DB2 databases
• Maintain robust database security practices and disaster recovery procedures
• Troubleshoot and maintain multiple databases across environments, ensuring minimal downtime
