Datacenter - Principal Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of datacenter infrastructure systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs and performance objectives.
• Oversee the deployment and management of hardware and software in datacenter environments, optimizing for efficiency and scalability.
• Develop and enforce best practices for datacenter operations, including capacity planning, disaster recovery, and security protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the datacenter remains competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in datacenter engineering or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale datacenter projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications (e. g. , Cisco, VMware, AWS) are a plus.
