Job Description

We are seeking a Databricks Architect to lead data platform strategy, define scalable architectures, and drive delivery excellence across enterprise programs. This role demands strong technical leadership, client engagement skills, and ownership of large-scale, cloud-native data implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive enterprise data strategy, including Lakehouse architecture and roadmap
  • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on Databricks across cloud environments
  • Lead end-to-end data platform modernization and transformation initiatives
  • Establish best practices for data engineering, CI/CD, DevOps, and data governance
  • Drive performance optimization, cost efficiency, and platform scalability
  • Design and enforce data security, compliance, and governance frameworks
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing cross-functional data engineering teams
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution architecture, estimations, and client presentations

Requirements

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or big data platforms
  • Proven track record of architecting and delivering Databricks-based solutions at scale
  • Along with experience with Databricks and at least one cloud data warehouse platform (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Oracle Cloud Data Warehouse)
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and query optimization across platforms
  • Strong understanding of Apache Spark internals and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience implementing data governance frameworks (e.g., Unity Catalog, data lineage, metadata management)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex project delivery
  • Experience designing multi-cloud or hybrid data architectures
  • Exposure to ML engineering and MLOps within the Databricks ecosystem
  • Databricks Certified Professional or Architect certification
