Job Description: Databricks AI/ GenAI Enterprise Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a Databricks AI Engineer to build and scale enterprise AI applications on the lakehouse using Databricks. This role focuses on developing data-centric, production-grade GenAI and agentic systems tightly integrated with enterprise data, analytics, and ML pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy GenAI applications using Databricks (Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog)
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) using enterprise data in the lakehouse
- Develop agentic workflows that combine LLMs with data pipelines, SQL, and notebooks
- Use Mosaic AI for model development, fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment
- Engineer scalable data pipelines and feature pipelines for AI workloads
- Integrate structured and unstructured data for AI use cases (documents, logs, tables)
- Build evaluation, monitoring, and observability pipelines using MLflow
- Ensure governance, lineage, and data security using Unity Catalog
Required Skills & Experience
- 2 to 4 years of experience with Databricks platform (Delta Lake, Spark, MLflow)
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed data processing
- Experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector search
- Understanding of LLM integration with enterprise data systems
- Familiarity with data engineering + ML engineering convergence
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for a Databricks AI Architect to define and lead enterprise AI architecture on the lakehouse. This role will shape how organizations unify data, analytics, and AI to build scalable, governed, and outcome-driven AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end AI systems on Databricks combining data engineering, ML, and GenAI
- Define reference architectures for RAG using Delta Lake, vector search, and enterprise data assets
- Design agentic AI systems that leverage data pipelines, SQL engines, and LLM integrations
- Establish governance frameworks using Unity Catalog (data lineage, access control, compliance)
- Define best practices for model lifecycle management using MLflow.
- Align AI architecture with enterprise data strategy and lakehouse adoption.
- Drive platform thinking—building reusable AI services and accelerators on Databricks.
- Optimize for performance, scalability, and cost across large-scale data + AI workloads.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4 to 8 years of deep expertise in Databricks ecosystem (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog)
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and lakehouse principles
- Experience integrating LLMs with enterprise data platforms
- Proven ability to design large-scale, distributed data and AI systems
