Database Engineer(Fabric & Azure Data Factory)

Responsibilities:

• API development & maintenance to ITSM, CRM, Financial and SharePoint systems
• Data extraction / ingestion from source to our data warehouse (Fabric + Azure Data Factory)
• PySpark / SQL updates to Stored Procedures (SPROC) and ETL processes across Bronze and Silver layers.
• PySpark / SQL development and maintenance of Views
• Optimization of SPROC to reduce load, refresh, or cost
• PySpark / SQL discovery and manipulation of existing code to cleaner, modern code

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Database Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server / SQL MI (Oracle, MySQL, or other relational databases is a plus).
• Knowledge of Azure IaaS & PaaS, with stronger emphasis on Azure data services.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory.
• Experience in data integrations, ETL pipelines, or transformative data architectures, including modern platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and OneLake.
• Experience with ITSM, CRM, Financial, and SharePoint systems.
• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Proficiency in backup and recovery methods (preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex database and data pipeline issues.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Azure cloud-based database and data services.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, etc.).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
